Soap and Paper Production Manager
About the role:
Lead, manage, and motivate the team. This includes all aspects of talent management such as ensuring the right people, right roles and right capabilities
Ensure that rigorous performance management processes are in place to recognise and incentivise high performance and manage underperformance where standards and targets are not being met.
Align with the quality and engineering teams to ensure that products are thoroughly tested and compliant with stated specifications. Support the manufacturing teams with product issues and support the QA compliance, design and inter-company teams as required.
Proactive in identifying operational strengths and weaknesses to help agree on future business and training needs with the Head of Operations.
Involvement of new and current products to ensure an efficient and organized and cost-effective operation is achieved
Produce project documentation as necessary and support locals to achieve a safe effective improvement.
Involvement in supporting continuous improvements and lean activities, understanding improvements in quality, financial and operational efficiency needs on joint projects.

Skill set of the role:
Essential
- Educated to a good further educational standard such as A levels or a relevant B-Tec qualification
- Experience running a technical team in mechanical and plastic injection moulding.
- Team leadership and delivery through motivated people
- Health and Safety team development
- Understanding of Situational leadership
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Process/task management experience
- Some form of mechanical/tooling design experience
- Six Sigma qualification Green +
- An effective leader who will relish the challenge of developing the existing workforce.
